Hi, I am Emeraude.

I started teaching Dutch in 2009, and founded my own school, Zamaradi Dutch Courses, in 2013. Celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2023, I decided to change the school’s name in a more suitable one: Your Dutch Teacher.

"I had a terrific experience taking levels 1-3 with Emeraude of Zamaradi, and I know I will return for the next levels in time. I've lived in NL for over three years, and for the first time, learning the Dutch language felt attainable, interesting, and even fun! Emeraude makes it that way: she emphasizes accessibility and practice, that it's ok to make mistakes, and to not get lost in the details (with the caveat, at least not yet!). Learning a language is not easy for me, and full immersion courses don't help my learning style either. I needed the logic and structure of Dutch explained to me first in English in order to understand and become more comfortable. "I have done both the intermediate and advanced courses with Zamaradi and was extremely happy I chose to do so. The intensive approach that Zamaradi offers allows students to make a lot of progress in a short amount of time and really immerse in the Dutch language. The small groups are great and create an intimate and fun learning environment. Emeraude is a wonderful teacher with a lot of patience and she explains things in a concise and clear way. Emeraude is a very warm and supportive teacher, which I found important and motivating being a first-time second language learner.
